Founded in 1971, David A. Clinger and Associates is the leading planning and design firm in Colorado. Mr. Clinger has been recognized nationally as a leader and innovator in the planning and design field since that time.

The firm specializes in communications and consulting with neighborhood groups, city and county planning staffs, and is renowned for its ability to secure approvals for unique and controversial projects. The firm has not lost a zoning case on behalf of its clients in the past fifteen years. David A. Clinger and Associates has gained a reputation nationally for its design innovations and land use concepts. Mr. Clinger has served as the national representative on the Special Committee on Planning and Design for NAHB. He serves the industry as a consultant and seminar speaker for NAHB, and has had articles published in Builder, Professional Builder, Multi-Housing News, Urban Land Institute periodicals, Better Homes & Gardens, and other publications.

Numerous awards have been bestowed upon Mr. Clinger for his superb community planning, including two coveted Golden Nugget Awards, and a Sensible Growth Award from NAHB and Better Homes & Gardens. In 1996, Professional Builder Magazine honored David with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for Land Planning Innovations at the NAHB Convention -- the first time in the Western United States that a land planner received this award. It reflects David A. Clinger & Associates' 34-year commitment to excellence in community design.

David Clinger's environmental planning activities were featured nationally on the Home and Garden Network Dream Builders segment, which focused on his open space golf communities, where residents live in a harmonious world of golf and the natural environment.
