New Ideas for Detached Density
March 10, 2009
David Clinger designed Parkwood Court Homes as a high density solution to increasing livability and profitability. At 11 dwelling units per acre, these single family homes each front a landscaped pedestrian greenway. Vehicles and attached garages are located on a motor court strictly for use by residents. Guests may park on the main streets and walk along open space paths to reach the front doors of these homes. By separating pedestrian and vehicular traffic, a community can develop that encourages interaction with neighbors and increased contact with the outdoor environment.
“New Ideas for Detached Density,” by David Clinger and published by Professional Builder, showcases more of David’s creative solutions for increasing density. These include Keyhole Lot Homes, Secluded Lane Homes, Sawtooth Lot Homes and Courtyard Lot Homes.
